PR Professionals

Foster the Future  is a collaborative initiative between Mission North, communications agency partners, and PRSA Foundation to mobilize our industry for transformative change.

A 2022 survey conducted by the Diversity Action Alliance across nearly 20,000 PR and communications organizations in the U.S. found that only 29% of employees were ethnically and racially diverse. Within those organizations' leadership positions, that percentage drops to just 17%.

Foster the Future aims to change that, using our collective resources and voices to create lasting, positive impact in our industry.
The Foster the Future Fellowship program launched in 2022 with four agencies sponsoring scholarships and fellowships, including paid internships, for college students from underrepresented groups interested in the field of communications. 

Now 12 organizations strong and offering internships and dedicated professional development training programs, we're fostering a new future for PR. We invite you to join us as we work to bring equity into the communications world!
